Siwd Mae!
It's that time of year when every British conversation starts with.... oooh it's a bit nippy now aint it! I don't understand how it surprises us every. single. year.
Nevertheless it's here and the best way to enjoy is with some TOASTY head warmers, from RWS Merino wool these will regulate your temperature, helping to keep you warm but also sweat wicking for that brisk walk to the office.
From the more minimal like the sage green pinstripe above, to more eclectic designs like the crychdoni 'ripple' style, our signature fair-isle floral and the new Sgwariau a Streipiau headbands in a contemporary Welsh pattern
Simple and timeless the marled pinstripe is a great accompaniment to any outfit, in four colour options. Team with a pair of our pinstripe gloves as a Christmas gift
The Crychdoni
The Crychdoni 'Ripple' headband has a mesmerising swirly pattern, in tones of pale sage green/snow and night sky/mauve.
How are they sustainable?
Made from RWS Wool.
The Responsible Wool Standard is a voluntary standard that addresses the welfare of sheep and the land that they graze on. The goals of the RWS are to provide the industry with a tool to recognise the best practices of farmers.
Made using zero waste techniques.
Hand framed in my studio in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire. This process involves knitting only what you need, by creating the headbands to size and linking with a hand operated linker, this generates zero waste.
Circular
Products are easily recyclable when they are made from one material. Therefore when made from 100% Wool these headbands can be recycled and returned to the product life cycle. In the unfortunate event that they don't get recycled after long term use they will go to landfill, wool is biodegradable and will break down in the soil.
The Sgwariau a Streipiau
Our own contemporary take on Welsh tapestry, and my personal favourite
The Fair Isle One
Our signature fair-isle pattern takes inspiration from retro textiles of the home, in three of our best-selling colour ways. First came the scarves, then the gloves and now the headbands
